Shebeshxt Out of ICU, Plans to Attend Daughter’s Funeral

A spokesperson for rapper Shebeshxt has provided an update on his health status.

On 8 June, the 27-year-old “Ambulance” hitmaker – real name Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke – was on his way to a gig in northern Limpopo when his vehicle collided with a truck. His nine-year-old daughter, Onthahile, lost her life in the accident.

On Thursday, 20 June, family spokesman and Shebeshxt’s lawyer, Lot Ramusi, told a local media outlet that his client – who suffered serious injuries – is out of ICU and currently recovering in the general ward at a private hospital in Polokwane.

“He is out of the ICU and has a moon boot on his leg,” Ramusi explained. “Shebeshxt is recovering quite well. He can talk, and he can actually even stand up. His focus is just on his recovery.”

Shebeshxt also plans to attend his daughter’s funeral tomorrow, Saturday 22 June: “We are going to make arrangements with the hospital, for them to take him there and bring him back after the funeral.”

Meanwhile, an investigation into the accident is currently underway, with the police opening a case against the driver of the truck.
